Required for parallel arm mounting where top rail is less than 5-1/2″ measured from the stop – preventing the closer from being mounted directly to the door surface.

- Drop plate can be used to mount a closer on a top rail as narrow as 2″ in height
- Screw holes drilled & tapped for closer mounting & countersunk for installation to frame or door
