Sargent 281 Series Cast Iron Closer with Universal Arm Package, 281-O-TB

Designed to meet the needs of facilities maintaining “cast iron” specifications, the 281 Series Powerglide® Cast Iron Door Closer features a heavy-duty one-piece cast iron body for superior strength and wear resistance. With front-facing valves, the 281 series can be easily installed and maintained—for interior and exterior applications.

The standard application of the 281 door closer is the most common providing high degree of door control and range of power adjustment. The closer is mounted on the pull side of the door with the arm mounted on the face of the frame. When the door opens, the arm passes over the top of the door.

O – Standard regular arm to install closer in standard or top jamb applications
TB – Packed w/thru bolts (TB), wood & machine screws
Permits 120° door opening with standard mounting
Operates effectively in extreme heat and cold without readjustment
