Cal-Royal continuous geared hinges are designed to provide superior performance you can rely on in high-traffic areas because instead of using a pin as in conventional hinges, we use a geared rotating joint. Weight is distributed evenly along the full length of the frame, thus minimizing wear on the hinge. Approved for use on swing type doors of hollow metal, tinclad, sheet-metal and steel covered composite type rated up to and including 3 hours. Wood composite doors rated up to and including 1 1/2 hours.

CRHD782110 is an Aluminum Continuous Geared Full Surface Hinge that provides a 1/32” door inset. It can be used with any standard frame without hinge preps, and either with or without reinforcements depending on door weight. The frame face must have a flat surface at least 1-5/8” wide. Clearance between the hinge edge of the door and the frame rabbet is 1/32” (1mm). “HD” models have additional bearings and frame fasteners for heavy-duty applications.
