8800 Series with Motorized Electric Latch Retraction
The Motorized Electric Latch Retraction (MELR) mortise lock is designed for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities for access control of openings where code compliance, dependable operation and resistance to physical abuse is required.
8805FL x MELR (Storeroom) - Power off - latchbolt extended, outside lever rigid/locked. Power on - latchbolt automatically retracted, outside lever rigid. Rotating inside lever retracts latchbolt. Auxiliary latch deadlocks latchbolt. Request to Exit available - specify option REX
- Latchbolt retracts in ½ of a second with applied power - Removing power allows latch to be projected back to the extended position
- Allows push/pull operation, satisfying both in-swing and outswing doors.
- Access controlled via an access control system or physical key override
- Compatible with any access control application using standard mortise locks
- Request to Exit available as an option
- Motorized latch retraction and spring back extension provide quiet and seamless operation
- Smooth latch retraction with applied pressure of over 50lbs to the door
- Environmentally friendly with low power requirements
- Field reversible for easy handing adjustments
- Requires 2153 or 2553 1-1/8" Mortise Cylinder w/ 2160 Cam
