Sargent 281 Series Cast Iron Closer with Universal Arm Package with Delayed Action Cylinder, 281-UO-DA-TB

Designed to meet the needs of facilities maintaining “cast iron” specifications, the 281 Series Powerglide® Cast Iron Door Closer features a heavy-duty one-piece cast iron body for superior strength and wear resistance. With front-facing valves, the 281 series can be easily installed and maintained—for interior and exterior applications.

  • UO - Universal arm package provides brackets and arms to install closer in standard, top jamb or parallel applications
  • DA - Delayed Action - Holds the door in the open position momentarily. Beneficial for ADA applications and when moving carts or objects through door openings.
  • TB - Packed w/thru bolts (TB), wood & machine screws
  • Operates effectively in extreme heat and cold without readjustment
  • Meets ADA requirements in all applications
  • Retrofits discontinued SARGENT 1250/1251
