Astragals are used to close the gap between pairs of doors. The astragal seals the opening from weather, light, and in some cases, sound. Security requirements dictate the appropriate application.

For use on SL, SZ Series hollow metal doors (compatible with any brand square edge door with Steelcraft hardware locations)

  • Attached to an inactive leaf on swing-in pairs of hollow metal doors
  • Prepped for 4-7/8" ASA strike and top and bottom flush bolts (6'8" Steelcraft hardware locations - not compatible with other hardware locations)
  • Compatible with Trudoor stock hollow metal doors, Steelcraft SL and SZ Series doors, Assa Abloy BSC doors, and any other square edge door with Steelcraft locations
  • Attachment is made to the inactive door leaf, with the sheet metal screws supplied
  • This astragal can be used on both rated fire doors and non-rated doors
  • Steelcraft beige prime coat finish (matches Trudoor stock hollow metal doors)
