ANSI F22 – Privacy – Emergency thumbturn access outside; thumbturn inside; latchbolt only • Latchbolt retracted by lever from either side • Outside lever is made inoperative by rotating inside thumbturn • To unlock from outside, remove access hole cover, insert emergency thumbturn (furnished) and rotate • Rotating inside thumbturn unlocks outside lever; turning inside lever retracts latchbolt and unlocks outside lever; closing door also
unlocks preventing lock-out • Inside lever always free for immediate egress
